The handle have “end stop” function to control the 90 deg. Angle a normal ball valve have. This end stop have to accommodate the torque with a safety margin on 2,2:
Torque 180Nm x2,2 400Nm
Working depth from 0-6000m

The material is an semicrystalline high performance thermoplastic polymer unique combination of mechanical strength, wear resistance and low moister uptake.

The molecular chain structure gives the material many desirable mechanical properties such as high tensile and impact strength, exceptionally high abrasion resistance and very good tribological properties which is why the material is used in parts subjected to high stresses.

The low moister uptake of only 0,8 % gives the material excellent dimensional stability which makes it’s an interesting chose for subsea applications.

One other benefit the material brings to the table is good chemical resistance in hydrocarbon enviroments which is why it have been used in various oilfield applications.
